Overview

Let's Rental Car needed the whole product, not a website in front of one: the booking funnel a customer sees and the operational software the business runs on, across multiple pickup locations.

The challenge

Starting from nothing means every part has to be designed at once — inventory model, location and pricing rules, reservation flow, accounts, back office. And the customer-facing half had to hold its own against rental incumbents people already know how to use.

How we approached it.

Modelled the inventory first

A normalised fleet model with multi-location pricing rules underneath, so availability and price stay correct as vehicles move between sites.

Built the booking flow against the incumbents

Search, select, reserve — benchmarked step by step against the category leaders, because that's the flow customers arrive already knowing.

Shipped the operator side too

A dashboard for managing locations, fleet and reservations — the half of a rental business that never appears in a brochure but decides whether it works.

Locked down the routes

Route-level guards on the front end and a Spring Boot API behind it, so accounts, bookings and admin surfaces stay separated.
